The Faculty Introduction Day (FID) is a mandatory day for all first-year Chemistry and Chemical engineering students. On this day you will get to meet your mentor and mentor group and get an introduction to the study and faculty. 

This year the FID will take place on the 30th of August from 8:50 to ~15:35 at Nijenborgh 4 on Zernike campus. 
The schedule of the FID morning program will be as followed:

8:50 - 9:20 - Registration. To check which students are present.
9:20 - 9:40 - Introduction to the FID.
9:40 - 10:00 - General information about the program of chemistry/chemical engineering's bachelor degree
10:00 - 10:30 - Guest lecture by Wesley Browne.
10:30 - 10:50 - General information about mental health and the labs.
10:50 - 11:10 - Break (with coffee, tea and snacks)
11:10 - 11:40 - Guest lecture by Ranjita Bose
11:40 - 11:50 - The first year experience.
11:50 - 12:00 -Break

After 12:00 the afternoon program starts. In the afternoon program you will have your first mentor meeting, get a tour around campus, get a tour of the laboratories that you will be working in this year, have a lab coat and goggle fitting, get an introduction to the KNCV (royal dutch chemistry association) and have an introduction/registration of the bachelor degree's study association: De Chemische Binding (CB for short).
