Dear Polymer Engineering students and curious person, 

During your course you’ve been able to see the interesting theory behind polymer engineering, now get ready to see it in practice! We’ll be visiting BASF Heerenveen on the 24th of October. Here we’ll have a quick lunch lecture, visit their laboratories and get a tour of the factory! It will be a very interesting few hours so be sure to join! There are sadly limited spots available so sign up quickly!

For your information, the travel will be from 10:30 – 16:30 including lunch. We will travel by bus and you will have to buy your own tickets. You can get a reimbursement through De CB if you have proof of payment. Also, polymer engineering students will be prioritized, but that shouldn't stop you from signing up! ;)

  • 10:45 meeting at the central station

  • 12.00 – 12.15 Arrival + registration at reception

  • 12.15 – 12.45 Lunch + presentation activities BASF Heerenveen

  • 12.45 – 13.30 Guided tour of the Synthesis, Analytical and Application laboratories

  • 13:30 – 14:15 Factory tour

  • 14.15 – 14.30 Closing/end of program

  • 14:30 – 16:30 return to Groningen
