De Chemische Binding

The ICE camp is an introduction camp for Chemistry and Chemical engineering students. It is a nice way for first-year students to get to know each other and the association. It is not mandatory to attend, but highly recommended. The cost for the camp is €50,-, this includes everything except drinks. Sign up Here!

The provisional programme for the introduction camp is as follows:

Friday, 30th of august:
16:15 - Busses arrive to Nijenborgh 4
17:30 - Arrival at the location
18:15 - Introduction to the camp and activity
19:00 - Dinner
20:30 - Activity
00:00 - Time to sleep

Saturday, 1st of September:
8:00 - Wake up
8:30 - Breakfast
10:00 - Introduction to Committees
12:00 - Lunch
13:30 - Activity
17:00 - Second activity
18:30 - Dinner
20:00 - Activity
22:00 - Party
02:30 - Time to sleep

Sunday, 2nd of September
9:00 - Wake up
10:00 - Breakfast
11:00 - Activity
13:00 - Lunch
14:15 - Return bus arrives

As we leave right after the FID, you should bring your baggage with you in the morning. There will be a separate room for you to leave it for the day.

Camp rules ICE 2024

During the camp you have to adhere to the following rules:

• English is the main language during the camp
• Always listen to the supervisors, they have the last say
• Inform the committee if something is wrong
• The cooking crew is in charge of the food; don’t go into the kitchen yourself
• Stick to the schedule
• Participation is at your own risk
• No alcohol under the age of 18
• No smoking under the age of 18
• It’s forbidden to give alcohol to people below 18
• It’s forbidden to bring your own alcohol
• No excessive drinking (otherwise you will be given an alcohol ban)
• No weapons
• No drugs 
• Adhere to the house rules of the accommodation

Depending on the severity of the violation, you may receive a warning first or you will be removed from the camp immediately. 

If at any point during the camp you feel intimidated, harassed or uncomfortable in any way, there will be two confidential advisors present who can help you.

Please note that the number of participants for this camp is limited, and full = full. So please sign up in time (i.e. during the summer, before the introduction day)! You may sign up for the camp using our Google Form.
